A recent LA transplant and New York native, Ms. Cerillo's eclectic background as an actress, dancer/choreographer, vocalist and performance artist has landed her on a variety of stages from The Brooklyn Academy of Music in NYC to The Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in LA. She has worked with award winning performers and directors including Avery Schreiber and Dick Schaal (Second City), Jerry Paris (The Dick Van Dyke Show) and Sir Peter Hall (Amadeus).
A member of SAG and AFTRA, she has appeared in several films and has had guest and recurring roles on such TV shows as 7th Heaven, General Hospital and NYPD Blue and has had principle roles in commercials including Got Milk?, 7-11, Energizer, Dominos, AT&T, FTD, Plax, Pepsi, Avis, Kraft, Chrysler, The California Lotto, the DVD promotional ad for “My Big Fat Greek Wedding” and Rice-a-Roni.
She received the Los Angeles Drama-Logue Critics Award for her acting and was commissioned to tour her LA Times’ critically acclaimed autobiographical one-woman show, Desert, for The LA Art Galleries Festival, The LA Women’s Theatre Festival and at LA Contemporary Exhibitions. Her film short, Blind Date, which she wrote, directed and produced, premiered at The Hermosa Beach Film Festival and aside from co-writing with her husband, Bill, of FATKID Films (FKF Media Group) in LA, she received the Gold Remi Award at the WorldFest Houston International Film Festival for her screenplay, Visi’s Cola Nuts.
Ms. Cerillo has been doing private coaching and teaching kids & young adults acting, audition skills, improv and "New Performance Techniques" for several years from the SF Bay area to the LA basin. Prior students, now established in the industry, include Steven C. Parker (Rebound, Little Miss Sunshine), Jasmine Jessica Anthony (Commander in Chief - series regular; 1408) and Skyler Gisondo (The Bill Engvall Show - series regular; Halloween - 2007). Before her recent move to Florida, she was formerly on staff at Actorsite, The Young Actors Studio and at The ESI Network (a theatrical management company) in Los Angeles. Ms. Cerillo is a graduate of CalArts.
